Integrating technology into business presentations has become essential to getting your message across to an audience. It's true to say that audiences are more receptive to visuals as opposed to simple audio presentations. There are a number of ways that technology can be used to make a presentation more appealing, and leave a lasting impression with an audience.

Using Technology in Presentations

Using technology in presentations does make an impression, whether it is a sales conference, business meeting, or staff training. Audiences are now no longer happy to just sit and listen to a colleague put forth their message. They now expect video, music and Internet integration in business presentations. It has also been proven that presentations that use technology resonate longer with employees rather than the simple spoken presentation.

Technology for Business Presentations

Presentations will usually start using computer software packages that can tailor a presentation to your needs. Computers can then be hooked up to televisions or screens to show graphics, animation and videos. With wireless solutions cables are no longer required to hook the computers up to the screens, and the computers do not even need to be in the same room as the presentation screen. Music is easily supplied via the computer using either compact discs or a wide variety of compressed music files such as MP3.

The Internet and Presentations

The Internet has brought a whole new level to the way that business presentations are conducted. Not only can actual presentations be recorded and then watched via the Internet but the actual presentation can be viewed by staff online. The use of video conferencing tools has made it easy to have interactive meetings and conferences without the need for staff to leave their desks. Home workers and outsourced employees also do not need to miss out on meetings thanks to video conferencing technology.

Business Presentations and Customers

The Internet has been useful in getting business presentations online and into the customer's homes free of charge. There are numerous websites where business presentations and product advertising videos can be placed without the need to pay advertising fees. Many businesses use websites such as You Tube to allow customers to actually see demonstrations of their products. This is also useful for customer feedback on products as the site allows viewers to comment back and leave text remarks.

Staff Training and Technology

Staff training has been made easier by the use of technology and training. No longer do senior employees need to take time out to train up new staff. Stored video presentations can simply be sent to the new employee via emails and the new employee can simply watch and listen. This can actually happen before the new staff member arrives on the premises to begin work.

The use of video and audio presentations makes it much easier for staff to learn new skills as opposed to someone simply telling them what to do. Instant messaging and emails can also be used for any questions or queries regarding the presentation.

Cost Effectiveness of Presentation Technology

This may seem like a lot of technology to integrate for a business presentation but it will pay for itself over the long term. Web conferencing means that there are no more travel expenses or hotel bills to be paid. Business presentations intended for consumers can cut the cost of advertising and marketing. Staff productivity should be enhanced with quicker and easier to remember presentations. Business presentation technology can be leased at a reasonable cost, and leasing means that the technology can be upgraded as and when needed at no extra cost.

Technology should be used to make life easier, and its integration can definitely take the strain out of business presentations. Using technology can make business presentations enjoyable for both employees and customers, and its validity should not be underestimated.
